NOTE: Employers who upload files must upload an Employee ID mapping file BEFORE processing any other files for the first time in the new portal. If your payroll software does not create a unique identifier, use the mapping tool available. Employee ID mapping is only required with the first upload. Employee unique identifiers must not be the employee's SSN. 

This does not apply to roll-forward employers.
